The annual Children's Competition was held on Sat 14/3/09 at the Bowhill War Memorial Club.

The happy 2009 prize winners with their books, trophies and certificates.

Once again there was an excellent turnout for the children's competition with approximately 40 participants across the solo categories.

The standard was particularly high this year giving judges Jim Chalmers and Kevin Thompson a difficult job.

A new age range was introduce this year at the schools' request - 6 and under...and this is where most of our entrants came from!

There was also a good range of items offered this year with several unusual ones...including extracts from Tam O Shanter and The Twa Dugs.

The order in the hall was excellent and a big thanks goes to all parents and friends who came along with a special thank you to all teachers for their encouragement and support.

All those who took part received a special certificate signed by the Club President.
